My son's team didn't reach the finals at the Iowa State Indoor Soccer Cup last weekend. Lost to the champions and runner-up.
The boys hadn't lost there in two years. I hadn't traveled with them. I went this year, and BAM, two losses, no titles.
I'm usually not very superstitious, unless it concerns sports. I should have followed my hunch and stayed home.
We did have some problems: 10 person roster; three got hurt and two were sick. But still ...
I'd like to say wait until next year, but I'm thinking it would be best if I just stayed away!
