Did the track thing Saturday. I felt good about my betting selections.
In fact, REAL good about some.
But.....
While I did cash a small winner, it was a tough day. Or, a better word would be brutal.
I was off a bit, even at my favorite tracks. Didn't come very close at Turfway. Missed badly at Derby Lane. However, our numbers bets at Southland were closer than my handicapping efforts.
That makes all the early work seem a bit, well, wasted.
Not that I'd tell my wife THAT!
Anyway, I had fun, lots of laughs and got to just sit and hang out.
Can't go wrong there!
